Refuse to Give Out of Ignorance

Refuse to Give Out of Ignorance

Giving is God’s primary method for blessing the people and his Church. So why does it seem that many of our churches and communities are lacking the resources needed for the people and community? Do you realize that God does not require us to give that which we do not have? But, it takes assessing what and why we have or don’t have “it” to give. Do you realize that giving comes in many forms that have nothing to do with money? Have you learned how you give impacts your eternal judgment? Are you aware of the internal, internal-external, and external approaches to giving? It is evident that a better understanding of giving would help leaders and faith communities function more efficiently.

PRF-GV-100: Evaluate Your Giving
Premise: Would you agree that giving is one of the most contentious topics inside and outside of the church? Well, since the Bible gives us plenty of examples associated with giving, i.e., fear, guilt or manipulation, you will discover in this lesson that there is a deeper issue – not embracing and operating by the five giving principles.
Spiritual Implication: The manner in which we give is a reflection of our relationship with God because giving is a response out of a loving heart and our spiritual and practical gifts should flow freely.
Prerequisite: Complete the FMNA for Evaluate Your Giving | Sub-course: PRF-GV-105

PRF-GV-105: Sowing and Reaping Just Won’t Do
Premise: Many people understand as what is done on the front end and reaping is on the back end. The people of God must be told that the biblical principal of sowing and reaping go way beyond the normal traditional messages of “giving” at church or from leaders that have manipulated people to give – be it out of ignorance or selfishness, greed and/or fear. In this lesson, you’ll learn the four life cycles to the sowing and reaping principles–two of which most people ignore or have never been taught. Your abundance lies with all four just as God designed it.
Spiritual Implication: Jesus’ parables about sowing and reaping were not about material wealth [first], but spiritual wealth. The Spirit will help you to focus on biblical truths of sowing and reaping, so that your sowing is not in vain. You can have both if you’re willing to do it God’s way.
Prerequisite: PRF-GV-100 (highly suggested)

PRF-GV-110: Give What You Have, Not What You Don’t (coming soon)
The struggle by people and churches today is how to navigate the financial implications of ministry when giving is at extreme lows. But, have you asked the question of “WHY”? Do you realize that that the same people many leaders continue to pull from financially to keep things afloat have “been done tapped out”? This lesson will help reframe thinking on giving what you have. Isn’t that all that God requires anyway?
Spiritual Implication: How you give, based on what God has provided to you, should be what you need to
NEVER feel like you’re in bondage to giving or that you’re not giving enough. You can only supply what God
gives you. If you want more, let’s get with God on how to determine what to do with what we actually DO have.
